Your Italian Penfriends - Rules
Our Italian penfriends initiative is certainly one of the
most desirable aspects of the Scuolitalia project, which you can now enjoy
for free as long as we are in the beta stage after
registering.
However, you must be aware of certain rules which have been designed to
protect both you and your Italian penfriends. This is not a social website
where anything can happen, and although we have no legal responsibility, we
do want this project to be successful and problem-free for everyone
involved.
So here are the main rules whose acceptance is a pre-requisite for taking
part in the penfriends project:
- without being subscribed to Scuolitalia you are free to
browse the profiles of our 370+ Italian penfriends (see left column of
the page), but only when you are subscribed to Scuolitalia will you be
able to access their contact data (email adress, skype nick, MSN
username, etc.) and get in touch with them
- contacting an Italian penfriend if you are not a Scuolitalia subscriber is
not allowed (i.e. in the case a subscriber gave you his/her access data,
and you are not directly subscribed to Scuolitalia)
- please do not address more than 5 Italian penfriends at the same
time. Also, try to choose Italian penfriends which seem to share your
interests.
- the first time you contact a penfriend (only the first time), you
have to address them by email (not via Skype or MSN Messenger etc.)
sending a CC copy to
info@scuolitalia.com (not a BCC copy!) within the same message
- from the second time onwards, you won't have to send us a CC copy of
the email to us, but you will have to mention the Shared Password (i.e. a word/phrase that will
let our Italian penfriend know that you are a regular subscriber to
Scuolitalia). You and the Italian penfriends will be notified on any
change of the Shared Password.
- Failure to send us a CC copy of the first email sent to an Italian
penfriend or to mention the Shared Password in any subsequent contact
means that you are not a valid participant in the Italian Penfriends
Initiative (or that you haven't understood the rules of the project
properly).
- when contacting an Italian penfriend you may write in Italian or
English. If you are lost for words, you can use this wording:
IF WRITING IN ITALIAN: Salve, sono un iscritto a Scuolitalia (Shared
Password: .....) e mi piacerebbe corrispondere con te. Il mio profilo è
visibile alla pagina web seguente: ....
Un cordiale saluto.
IF WRITING IN ENGLISH: Hi, I am a Scuolitalia subscriber (Shared
Password: .....) and I would like to correspond with you. Please check
my profile at: ...
Regards.
